iluum was founded by Shom Sen. Shom is a seasoned professional with global experience in strategy, marketing, business development and organizational effectiveness.

He enjoys working with individuals and teams to bring about successful change, whether it involves discovering that key strategic insight which creates market success, accelerating growth through a breakthrough marketing campaign, or driving business transformation through a strategic alliance or acquisition. Through these change processes, Shom has developed a talent in mentoring and coaching others to help them achieve important business and personal goals. Shom was recognized as a Glassdoor Top CEO in Canada in 2018.

Shom has served in CEO, board and senior management roles across a number of sectors, in Fortune 100 companies such as Sara Lee, Kraft Foods/Mondelez and Royal Dutch Shell, the public sector as well as large non-profit organizations such as BCAA. He was the first recipient of the Jack Wadsworth Fellowship from Asia Society (New York), and was a former provincial Assistant Deputy Minister of International Trade. Shom has served on a variety of boards and received his ICD.D. designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Shom is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and Harvard Business School.
